Courses

These courses are all offered on an on-going basis. Designed to appeal to most age groups each course offers a balanced methodology, combining the best from both traditional and more modern approaches to learning English as a Second Language. Utilizing the world around us the skills work in this course is based on news and magazine articles, biographies, short stories, radio, and songs.

Each core course may be considered as separate courses if the student already has some knowledge of English.

Our students may do our own examinations at the end of their final course. These examinations cost US $50.00 and are conducted by external examiners. Our certificates are endorsed by the Ministry of Education, the Registrar General and la Apostilla de la Haya which validates it internationally. Our students may also choose to do the Pitman Qualification Examinations in addition to, or instead of, our examinations. The Pitman examinations are set and marked in the United Kingdom and are conducted on our premises by the local Ministry of Education. These are held three times a year - in April, July and December. These also cost about US $50.00. This fee is set by and paid directly to the Ministry. It varies slightly from time to time.

Pitman Qualification Examinations

Pitman Qualifications is an Awarding Body that has been providing qualifications for over 100 years. Since 1990 Pitman Qualifications has been part of City & Guilds and now provides the English language qualifications for the United Kingdom's largest vocational awarding body. Over half a million candidates take Pitman Qualifications examinations worldwide each year. A Pitman Qualification certificate will help you in your future studies and, at higher levels, can provide companies and educational institutions with evidence of your competence in English.
